Klopfenstein and Alston Sign

The St. Louis Rams agreed to terms with tight end Joe Klopfenstein and linebacker Jon Alston, one day before the start of training camp.

Only first-round pick Tye Hill, a cornerback, has not signed, but coach Scott Linehan believes Hill will be in camp by the weekend. The Rams have nine of their 10 draftees under contract.

Klopfenstein, a second-round pick, agreed to a four-year contract. Alston, one of three third-round picks, got a three-year deal.

Isaac Bruce Hosts Football Clinic

On Saturday, June 24, more than 450 youth from the St. Louis area had the opportunity to join Rams’ wide receiver Isaac Bruce for a free football clinic at Rams Park. This free clinic provided youth the opportunity to work on their football skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills, while building self-esteem both on and off the field. Each participant received a T-shirt, football and refreshments as well as the opportunity to meet Isaac.

The Isaac Bruce Football Clinic was sponsored by the Isaac Bruce Foundation, The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University-School of Medicine, National City, St. Louis Rams, Pepsi, Grappa Grille, and the National Football Foundation.

The Isaac Bruce Foundation, a fund of the Institute for Science and Health, focuses on health and education. By applying leading-edge research, the Youth Health and Development project is designed to positively impact developing youth during their critical, impressionable years through an integrated multi-media curriculum that encompasses in-school, after-school and family opportunities. The goal is to nurture and reinforce personal attributes so that they may grow into healthy, productive and responsible adults.
